2026 SVDEVO PROGRAMS

High School Team Program | $1200

This program is designed for high school riders who want to grow as cyclists, build confidence on the bike, and develop a lifelong love for mountain biking. While we will continue to attend select local Idaho races for experience and fun, our primary focus is not on national-level racing but on skill development, fitness, and preparing riders for a strong and enjoyable Idaho NICA season at the end of the summer. Riders will participate in 2-3 weekly practices and follow a structured training plan appropriate for their age and development. Emphasis will be placed on mastering fundamental mountain bike skills, improving overall fitness, and learning safe, efficient riding techniques. Prior racing experience is not required, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to the team environment are essential.

The central goal of the high school team is to help riders build endurance, technical ability, and confidence throughout the spring and summer, setting them up for success and enjoyment during the fall Idaho NICA series. Riders will be organized into two or three groups based on ability, fitness, and experience to ensure that each athlete trains in a supportive, appropriate environment. Each group will focus on fundamental riding skills, trail awareness, pacing strategies, group riding etiquette, and smart training habits. As the season progresses, athletes will also learn about proper nutrition, recovery, and goal setting to support long-term development in the sport.

Coaches will be assigned to specific groups for the duration of the season. They will guide skill development, help riders set personal development goals, foster a strong team culture, and provide mentorship both on and off the bike. We aim to create confident, capable riders who enjoy cycling and build a foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle well beyond high school.
